Opel - Easytronic (Clutch actuator)
As the name suggests, this is a classic transmission which is operated by automated (not automatic!) actuators.
In principle, such a system consits of the following parts:
- Coupling actuator
(for clutch actuation, replacing of the clutch pedal)
- Gear actuator
(For the execution of gear shifts, replacing the gear stick)
In the concrete example of Opel/Vauxhall’s “Easytronic”, the TCU is placed inside the clutch actuator.
