Information on disposing of packaging

Please dispose of the packaging materials you have received in accordance with the instructions below. In this way, you help to conserve resources and protect the environment, and support high-quality recycling.

Shipping carton (corrugated folding boxes)	Paper / cardboard (PAP 20)	Please fold cardboard and paper flat and place them in the local paper collection (paper bin / paper recycling container).
Paper padding (PadPak CC paper)	Paper (PAP 22)	Place in the paper bin / paper recycling container together with waste paper.
PP adhesive tape on the carton	Plastic (PP)	May remain on the carton; it is accepted as a tolerated contaminant in paper recycling.
Bubble wrap	Plastic (PE)	Dispose of clean film – where possible – via the lightweight packaging collection (e.g. yellow bin / yellow bag); otherwise in residual waste according to local rules.
Packing chips (flopak® Green)	Plastic (PS)	Reuse several times where possible; then dispose of via the lightweight packaging collection or residual waste, depending on local rules.
Zip-lock / press-seal bags	Plastic (LDPE)	Please reuse several times; after use – where provided – dispose of via the lightweight packaging collection (e.g. yellow bin / yellow bag), otherwise in residual waste.

Detailed instructions

Shipping boxes and paper padding

Our shipping boxes and paper-based padding materials (e.g. corrugated folding boxes, paper padding, PadPak paper) are made from recyclable corrugated cardboard or kraft paper (material groups PAP 20 and PAP 22).

Please fold cardboard and paper flat and place them in the local paper collection (paper bin / paper recycling container).
Where possible, remove larger plastic components beforehand so as not to impair paper recycling.

Plastic filling and cushioning materials

Plastic-based cushioning materials such as bubble wrap (PE) or polystyrene packing chips (flopak® Green, PS) are technically recyclable. In practice, they are collected differently depending on the region and are sometimes used for energy recovery.

Clean plastic films (e.g. bubble wrap) can – where provided in your region – be disposed of via the lightweight packaging collection (e.g. yellow bin / yellow bag); otherwise please place them in residual waste.
Reuse packing chips (flopak® Green) as many times as possible and then dispose of them according to local rules via the lightweight packaging collection or residual waste.

Bags and inner packaging (LDPE zip-lock bags)

Resealable LDPE bags (material group LDPE 4) are suitable for repeated use, e.g. for storing small parts or documents.

Please reuse the bags as many times as possible before disposing of them.
After use, clean LDPE bags may – where provided – be disposed of via the lightweight packaging collection (e.g. yellow bin / yellow bag); otherwise please place them in residual waste.

General information

Please always observe the locally applicable disposal regulations and the information provided by your local waste management authority.
Packaging materials do not belong in the environment. Always use the designated collection and return schemes.
